 About Us

Rosehips Gallery was created by a White County native  with a deep love and appreciation for Appalachia, its people, and their art. Barbara Allen Brogdon was born in these mountains and her family has lived here for more than seven generations. She has come to know the southern folk artists and is knowledgeable about the art they produce.

Rosehips Gallery is located in the center of the pottery tradition in Georgia. White County is the home of the venerable Lanier Meaders, who is considered the most important folk potter of our time. Meaders Pottery, along with the work of other important and respected folk potters, is offered for sale.

Art by the self-taught hand by nationally recognized artists such as Jim Sudduth, R.A. Miller, Charlie Lucas, Lonnie Holley, and Mary Greene is available for purchase.
